Disaster Overview : On August 1, 2018, the government of DR Congo announced a new Ebola outbreak in North Kivu province. This outbreak comes shortly after the end of another Ebola outbreak in Equateur Province. By September 2018, 142 cases were reported, with 97 deaths, spreading concern through the North Kivu and Ituri provinces and affecting neighboring Uganda.
