Disaster Overview : Starting in January 2013, multiple regions of the Central African Republic (CAR), including Ngaoundaye, Abba, and Carnot, experienced significant measles outbreaks. The situation worsened due to large population movements into Bangui, driven by insecurity. By October, measles had spread extensively in the country, with over 600 confirmed cases. Humanitarian efforts included vaccination campaigns that began in May in Bangui and expanded to the interior regions by July.
