Disaster Overview : In late April to early May 2019, Tropical Cyclone Fani developed in the Bay of Bengal, moving north-west and eventually making landfall in Odisha, India. The cyclone escalated to a Category 4 storm, triggering extensive evacuations and emergency measures across the affected regions, including Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
