Disaster Overview : On November 5, 2021, central, eastern, and southern Bosnia and Herzegovina experienced severe flash floods due to heavy rainfall. Major rivers including Zeljeznica, Miljacka, Bosna, and Neretva overflowed, causing significant damage and necessitating evacuations. A total of 18 municipalities within the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Srpska were predominantly affected, while an additional 5 municipalities experienced minor impacts. Landslides were also reported in several areas, and the broader Sarajevo region faced drinking water shortages affecting around 250,000 people.
