Disaster Overview : On November 6, 2022, heavy rains associated with an upper-level trough caused severe flash floods and landslides in various communities in northern Saint Lucia. This weather event displaced nearly 200 families and affected approximately 5,500 people, primarily in the areas of Corinth, Bois d'Orange, and Grande Riviere in the Gros Islet District. Some affected residents have found refuge with friends and family, while others continue to live in their impacted homes.
