Disaster Overview : On November 28, 2021, a powerful 7.5-magnitude earthquake struck the Amazonas region in northern Peru. The quake, occurring at a depth of 131 km, impacted around 13,013 people across 65 provinces. The earthquake significantly affected the regions of Loreto, Amazonas, Lambayeque, Cajamarca, and San Martin, causing widespread property damage and leaving many homes uninhabitable.
