Disaster Overview : Beginning on March 31, 2019, heavy rains led to severe flooding in Syria's Hasakah Governorate, affecting approximately 118,000 people. The floods have had a particularly harsh impact on internally displaced persons (IDPs) living in camps. The Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) responded swiftly, providing essential supplies, first aid, and health care to 3,000 individuals in the most affected areas, including Tal Hamis. In response to the crisis, SARC plans to seek international assistance to support 45,000 people in need for the next three months.
