Disaster Overview : In August and September 2015, heavy rains coupled with dam failures led to severe flooding across 11 states in Nigeria. This disaster resulted in the death of 53 individuals and left over 100,000 people displaced. The affected states include Adamawa, Anambra, Benue, Delta, Kaduna, Kebbi, Niger, Ondo, Sokoto, Taraba, and Zamfara, where homes, buildings, and agricultural areas were significantly damaged or destroyed.
