Disaster Overview : Large parts of the occupied Palestinian territories were struck by exceptionally heavy storms starting on February 28, 2012. The severe weather caused extensive flooding and significant damage to homes in districts such as Gaza, Hebron, Jenin, Salfit, Ramallah, and parts of Jerusalem beyond the separation wall. More than 300 families had to be evacuated due to the deluge.
