Disaster Overview : On April 12, 2012, heavy rains in Rwanda's Musanze Northern Province and Nyabihu and Rubavu districts in the Western Province led to significant flooding. The disaster affected 2,200 households, totaling approximately 11,000 people. The floods caused extensive damage to homes and properties, with hundreds of houses either destroyed or damaged.
