Disaster Overview : In August 2012, the Ministry of Health of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DR Congo) reported an Ebola Hemorrhagic fever outbreak in the Isiro and Dungu Health Zones of Province Orientale. The World Health Organization (WHO) was notified on August 17, 2012. By October 11, the outbreak had resulted in 77 reported cases, including 36 deaths. The outbreak was officially declared over on November 23, 2012.
