Disaster Overview : On the night of November 8-9, 2012, heavy rains led to severe flooding in the Nord, Nord-est, Nord-ouest, and Nippes departments of Haiti. The flooding resulted in significant damage to homes and infrastructure, leading to the loss of 10 lives in Cap Haitien. Over 1,500 people were displaced and sought shelter in 14 different shelters across the affected regions.
