Disaster Overview : In early 2016, significant flooding occurred in Tanzania, notably in the Dodoma Municipality and Bahi district during January, and the Rufiji district in February. Heavy rain accompanied by strong winds devastated these regions, displacing thousands and rendering numerous families homeless.
