Disaster Overview : In March 2021, heavy rain caused severe flash floods in north-western Algeria, particularly impacting Chlef Province. The disaster resulted in multiple casualties and extensive damage to houses and infrastructure. Over 300 civil protection agents were deployed for search and rescue operations, and the floods affected more than 500 families, displacing 280 who sought shelter in emergency centers.
