Disaster Overview : Severe flooding began in the Mekong Delta of Viet Nam at the end of August 1991. This disaster has led to significant destruction, particularly affecting the southern provinces such as An Giang, Long An, Dong Thap, and Kien Giang. The National Committee on Flood and Storm Control has been working on the ground to assess the damage and coordinate relief efforts. Despite the significant impact, no request for international assistance has been made yet.
