Disaster Overview : Typhoon Krosa hit Taiwan and southeastern China on October 6-7, 2007. Taiwan experienced intense winds, heavy rain, and severe flooding, resulting in the death of 18 people and agricultural losses amounting to at least 1.16 billion Taiwan dollars (35 million USD).
