Disaster Overview : Tropical Cyclone Phet formed in the Arabian Sea and made landfall on the Oman coast on 4 June 2010. The cyclone continued its path towards Pakistan, striking the areas of Thatta and Bhanbor in Sindh on 6 June. The severe wind and rain resulted in at least 10 fatalities and forced the evacuation of more than 7,000 people across various regions in the Badin district.
