Disaster Overview : From June 29, 2016, Upper and Lower Margibi County in Liberia faced extensive flooding due to torrential rains. The floods affected more than 15,000 people across 49 communities, with substantial damage reported in Unification Town, Dolo Town, and Mambahn Kaba District in Lower Margibi County, located in the eastern region of the capital Monrovia. Temporary relocation sites have been set up, and initial relief efforts are underway with support from the National Disaster Relief Commission and various partners.
