Disaster Overview : Typhoon Nock-ten, originating over the north-western Pacific Ocean near Micronesia on December 21, 2016, intensified as it entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility on December 23. Making landfall over Catanduanes on the evening of December 25, it affected numerous provinces including Albay, Camarines Sur, and Cavite before moving out to the West Philippine Sea on December 27.
