Disaster Overview : In late May 2014, severe floods struck parts of Russia, affecting the Republics of Khakassia, Altai, Tuva, and the Altai Territory in Siberia, as well as the Republic of Adygeya in North Caucasus. The disaster led to the evacuation of 22,545 individuals between May 29 and mid-June. The Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) reported significant damages, including the flooding of over 4,000 houses and 12 motorways.
