Disaster Overview : On September 8, 2014, severe flooding was reported in the Bibemi Subdivision of Cameroon's North Region, caused by continuous heavy rainfall starting from August 21, 2014. The floods devastated many villages, with significant destruction of homes, farms, and livestock. Approximately 3,500 people from nearly 700 families were impacted, with over 270 families losing their homes. The flooding also exacerbated a cholera outbreak in the region, intensifying the urgent need for emergency aid.
