Disaster Overview : In early 2022, Kenya experienced simultaneous outbreaks of Yellow Fever and Chikungunya. The Yellow Fever outbreak was initially reported in January in Isiolo County, with subsequent spread to multiple regions. As of January 23rd, 15 cases were reported, including three confirmed positives and three fatalities. Additionally, Chikungunya cases were reported in Wajir County in mid-February, with five confirmed cases. Both outbreaks prompted swift action by the Ministry of Health, including vaccination campaigns and medical assessments.
