Disaster Overview : Tropical Cyclone Pawan, initially named SIX, developed in the northern Indian Ocean before being assigned its current name. The cyclone sustained a speed of more than 39 miles per hour for two days before it began impacting the coastal and central regions of Somalia. The cyclone brought moderate to heavy rains and strong winds to these areas, with its influence felt prominently in regions like Bari, Mudug, and Sanaag.
